What get rehab is
Get Rehab is a referral coordination platform. We collect information from patients and referrers, review it for suitability, and aim to connect people with participating rehabilitation providers that match their needs, location, funding pathway and clinical scope.
What get rehab is not
- Not an emergency service.If you or someone you know needs urgent medical attention, call 000 or go to the nearest emergency department.
- Not a medical advice provider.We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or provide clinical recommendations. Always speak with a qualified health professional for medical advice.
- Not a treating clinic.We do not deliver rehabilitation services ourselves. Any care is provided by the independent provider you are referred to.
- Not a guarantee of placement.Submission of a form does not guarantee that a suitable provider will be available, or that a referral will proceed. Availability depends on provider capacity, location and scope.
- Not a health insurer or funding body.We do not approve funding, process claims or determine eligibility for Medicare, NDIS, DVA, workers compensation or private health benefits.
How referrals work
When you submit a patient check-in or referral form, a coordinator reviews the information against our network criteria: suitability, location, funding pathway, provider scope and published network standards. We may contact you for clarification. If a suitable participating provider is identified, we share relevant details with that provider for the purpose of initiating contact and assessment. The provider then manages their own intake, scheduling and clinical care.
Get Rehab does not control provider availability, fees, waiting times or clinical decisions. The treating provider is solely responsible for the care they deliver.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Inform us promptly if your situation changes or you no longer need a referral
- Seek emergency care directly when needed — do not wait for a platform response
- Confirm that you consent to sharing your information for referral purposes
Provider independence
Participating providers are independent businesses. Their inclusion in the network reflects a review of credentials, scope and service description, not an endorsement of every service they provide. Providers are responsible for their own staff, clinical governance, accreditation and insurance.
